Qatar Solar to add 300MW in Asia

Qatar Solar Energy has struck deals with Jermyn Capital and Power Capital to supply 150MW of solar power each to Japan and Thailand respectively.

The company said it was chosen for its “ability to deliver higher efficiency solar solutions at lower costs with plans to work together into the future with both companies on a range of solar power initiatives”.

The Qatar-based renewable energy company also announced the opening of the largest solar technology development and manufacturing facility in Middle East and North Africa region.

QSE chief executive officer Salim Abbassi said: “This is a significant milestone for Qatar and proves that the region can be on the leading edge of an industry that will secure sustainable energy for future generations.” — Full Story at Renews
