Alberta will co-host a World Economic Forum regional meeting on energy, climate change and innovation in Lake Louise from April 24 to 25, but opposition critics are skeptical about how useful it will be.
Premier Alison Redford said Tuesday the event will bring together more than 100 global leaders to draft an action plan on energy and environmental sustainability.
“I’m excited Alberta has been chosen to co-host an event that will engage the international community on issues that matter so much for our future,” Redford said in a statement from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “Our province has so much to showcase.
